On the early spring Saturday of 16 March, the magical sound and twilight festival ‘Night at the ENM’ will take place for the second time. Artists and musicians from Estonia, Finland, Iceland and the United Kingdom will be taking to the stage.
The different halls in the museum will offer audience members the chance to rotate around their own axis to tasteful pop and experimental electronic music.
Please note: The number of seats in the Jakob Hurt Hall is limited, which is why we recommend that you arrive in good time.
Festival tickets are available from Piletilevi. A pre-sale price of 29 euros applies for the entire festival programme in February, and from 1 March it is 35 euros.
One of the most important performers at this year's festival will be ROZI PLAIN (UK), an artist who makes music that is truly peculiar (in the best sense of the word). She has released four albums, and her fifth, ‘What a Boost’, will be released this April. It has been described by reputable publications as "seductively off-balance great stuff" (Uncut) and "fine-tuned bliss" (MOJO).
In addition, Finnish singer Lau Nau (a.k.a. Laura Naukkarinen) can also be found in the programme. Her album ‘Kuuatarha’, released in 2005, was named one of the top 50 albums in the world by British magazine ‘The Wire’. Furthermore, a concert she gave in Philadelphia was mentioned in the media as being one of the “60 concerts that rocked the world”.
The audience will also be entertained by outstanding representatives of the local scene, who will need no further introduction to music lovers: the man with a crisp, Nordic touch Erki Pärnoja: Efterglow; the always mellow Orelipoiss; the trance-like rhythms of meisterjaan; the dreamy Mick Pedaja; and Weekend Guitar Trio, perfectionist and experimental in the nuances of sound.
You can rest both body and mind in the ENM Night's Ambient Hall, where flowing sounds will be taken care of by the trio Stereo Hypnosis from Reykjavik and Söör Paul a.k.a. DJ Paul Lepasson.
