Come and join us to the historic retrospect of Estonian Kroon!

2017 represents the year when Estonian Kroon would have become 25 years old. The Kroon banknote does not rustle in our wallets anymore, it is replaced by the Euro. Although, it is not used in our daily lives anymore, the Estonian Kroon is still deep in the hearts of Estonians and recalled warmly. The anniversary of Estonian Kroon in conjunction with upcoming 100th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia will be celebrated with nation-wide Kroon Tour!

Do we recall the man on 1 Kroon banknote? How much was Tobias worth? What could have been purchased with Tammsaare? What kind of relationship Keres had with money? Or who- among all the significant people represented on the banknotes- was in the biggest debt?

The Kroon Tour will visit these men and women without whom we would not have Estonia and the independence. Nine Estonian museums have opened thematic exhibitions to introduce the history of the Kroon to the general public. The banknotes will come to life and interesting tasks can be solved to claim prizes. The people who have visited all the nine museums will receive the sertificate that will brighten up your passport. For the very best, we have selected additional awards!

Estonian National Museum will host Jakob Hurt, a man on 10 Kroon banknote.

Our museum will award one lucky participant the money representing Jakob Hurt, museum’s family ticket and an exclusive guided Kroon Tour.

The Tour will last from June 20 until November 20, 2017.
