ENM amongst the five finalists of the Micheletti Award

After a long and serious process of visits and discussions that took place in last spring, European Museum Academy Awards - the Micheletti and DASA Awards - met their winners last weekend at the ceremony at Den Gamle By, Aarhus, Denmark.
The Luigi Micheletti Award is the European prize for innovative museums in the world of contemporary history, industry and science. It is one of the leading activities of the Luigi Micheletti Foundation.
The Estonian National Museum was amongst the five Micheletti Award finalists this year. The winner of the Micheletti Award is CHAPLIN’S WORLD BY GREVIN, Corsier-sur-Vevey, Switzerland.
"The judges brought out the quality of ENM's exhibitions, emphasizing the scientific representation of the Estonian people and their everyday life. In addition, they also highlighted the coherent development of the Raadi area and the positive effect on tourism and economy of Tartu of the museum's new building," said Agnes Aljas, Secretary of Science of the ENM.
