Anu Raud: Patterns of Life
An exhibition at the Heimtali Museum of the Estonian National Museum, the Heimtali Manor stables and the Estonian National Museum*Anu Raud is one of the most unique and multifaceted figures in the world of Estonian art. As well as being a writer, teacher, antique collector, museum developer, keeper and promoter of folk art heritage and farmer, she is the country’s foremost textile artist. Her work is based in Estonian folk art and has inspired an entire generation of handicraft enthusiasts and textile artists.
Anu Raud turned 80 on 10 May. To mark the occasion, the Estonian National Museum is launching a series of exhibitions and special events.

Family photos: The art collection of the Raud family
Estonian National Museum
Anu Raud’s art collection features almost 200 works dating from the 20th century. They include paintings, graphic art and sculptures amassed by the Raud family over a number of generations.
