Nightgoers
June 21 – August 10, Triigi Philharmonic, SaaremaaAt the heart of the exhibition Nightgoers is the night as a layered timespace, and the people who shape and inhabit this shadowy realm. The night draws out romantics and adventurers, workers and artists, wanderers and the lost, dreamers, dancers, and boundary-pushers. They claim the night, with all its mystery.
The exhibition Nightgoers is a collaboration between the Estonian National Museum and the Triigi Philharmonic. It is a summer continuation of the Estonian National Museum’s 2024 major exhibition Who Claims the Night?. Created for Saaremaa’s summer nights, Nightgoers explores a century of nocturnal culture and history through the lives of individuals and communities who have been active in Estonia after dark. The exhibition is curated by Karin Leivategija and designed by Emma Eensalu.
