Koostöös kunstnik Reinis Pētersonsiga valminud koomiksinäitus on välja kasvanud tänavuseks Londoni raamatumessiks lätlaste loodud kirjanduse populariseerimise kampaaniast, mis vastandus moodsa maailma arusaamale edukast kirjanikust kui ekstraverdist, kes oskab end „müüa“. Rohkem infot inglise keeles allpool.
Näituse avamisel saab teha antiselfie’t ja introverditüübi testi, Läti kirjandusuudiseid jagavad kirjanik Janis Jonevs ning luuletaja, tõlkija ja esseist Artis Ostup.
Näitus jääb avatuks 25. novembrini.

On the second day of Latvian Week in Tartu Estonian National museum will welcome representatives of the organisation Latvian Literature to introduce us to the #IAMINTROVERT campaign.
At the opening of the exhibition also Latvian poet Artis Ostups will take part. Artis Ostups (1988) is a Latvian poet, translator and essayist. He is currently editor-in-chief of the online magazine Punctum.
““Latvian literature” came up with the idea of the “#IAMINTROVERT” campaign, when the London Book Fair wanted to see writers, who are outgoing, speak English very well, know how to “sell themselves” and how to tell jokes. That is not only the specific nature of the London Book Fair, but also a tendency of the modern world – you have to know how to sell yourself. We realised that those characteristics do not apply to writers, because most of the time they like to be alone with their texts and write a book. And we especially knew from our experience that this is not characteristic to Latvian writers, who do not enjoy performing and small-talk. We decided to make the best of it and be upfront about it – yes, we are introverts, we don't know how to speak properly, but that doesn't mean we have bad literature, just the opposite. One after the other the solutions came to us on how to develop this campaign and how to draw attention to us. The basis of the campaign has been the introverted wardrobe that will be also in Tartu in a slighty transformed form.“
