 value (String, 5696 characters ) Young Voices: The Young Researchers of Culture Conference on April 19-20  This year the “Young Voices”, the conference of young researchers in the field of humanities, takes place on April 19-20 in the Estonian National Museum (Muuseumi tee 2, Tartu). The first day of the conference is dedicated to topics presented by international students. The second day features presentations in Estonian.  The purpose of the conference is to create an opportunity for a dialogue between different disciplines and fields of research and, at the same time, provide an open stage for current and novel research topics.   The conference presentations cover a wide spectrum of contemporary research fields. Professor Pille Pruulmann-Vengerfeldt from Malmö University will deliver the conference keynote speech on co-created research involving academic and non-academic stakeholders. The program also includes a round-table discussion (in Estonian) and an anthropological film screening in Elektriteater. The conference is supported by the European Regional Development Fund (The Centre of Excellence in Estonian Studies TK 145). Young researchers, university students at all study levels and high school students whose research focuses on the analysis of cultural and social phenomena are welcome to participate at the annual spring conference “Young Voices”. We are looking forward to presentations that discuss either traditional culture or the functioning of a new digital society, addressing themes from oral history to contemporary applications of heritage. One of the aims of the conference is to stimulate young researchers to exchange ideas on the topics related to anthropology, ethnology, folklore and cultural heritage. The conference will be held on April 19-20, 2022 in Tartu at the Estonian National Museum (if the regulations allow gathering onsite) and/or online.   The conference gives an opportunity to present your topics to a wider audience. Each speaker will have 20 minutes to present and an additional 10 minutes for questions and discussion. The event is open to both completed research as well as projects in their early stages, and accepts traditionally academic as well as innovative and digital presentations.
